Tigers eShop brings portable cooker retailer Cobb to Hong Kong
Tigers expands its Outdoor and Active Lifestyle vertical, ahead of the global launch of its eShop
Hong Kong, Tuesday, 31st July 2018 – Supply chain specialist Tigers is fulfiling portable cooker retailer Cobb’s e-commerce requirements in Hong Kong through its online marketplace, the Tigers eShop.
Tigers handles Cobb’s B2C distribution from its e-commerce fulfilment centre in Hong Kong, one of sixteen in the region, pioneering a new business model for the retailer.
“The Tigers eShop, our online trading platform, is a new concept for Cobb which allows the company to sell directly to the consumer instead of following the traditional routes,” said Andrew Jillings, Chief Executive Officer and Group Managing Director, Tigers.
“The outdoor industry is a major contributor to the e-commerce boom in Asia, and we are happy to further strengthen the vertical by bringing Cobb to the region.
“We currently handle Cobb’s storage and fulfilment, in addition to processing returns for the region, and aim to develop the brand throughout our global network.”
Tigers, which first opened eShops in China and Malaysia in 2017, has just launched two more in Germany and the UK, and is planning to open more across its global network of offices, which includes Australia, India, Myanmar, South Africa, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and the USA.
“Every business knows that to stay relevant you have to incorporate technology into your day to day activities, hence the reason of going directly onto an e-commerce platform,” said Johan Coetzee, General Manager, Cobb International (PTY) Ltd.
“The opportunity is there to directly market and sell to the outdoor enthusiast who loves to cook anything, anywhere, anytime.”
The Hong Kong headquartered Tigers works with a number of Outdoor and Active Lifestyle brands globally, with Cobb being its latest addition to its eShop.

The multiple award winning patented Cobb cooking system grills, fries, bakes, smokes, boils and warms. This unique light-weight cooking system is simple to use and maintain.
The Cobb’s unique design allows fat and grease to drain away from the food that is cooking and into the moat for healthier cooking.
As the fat does not land on the coals, the Cobb cooking system is virtually smokeless and can be used in small well ventilated areas such as balconies without causing a smoky environment.
Ventilation through the holes of the Dome allows for even distribution of heat, allowing food to cook to perfection. Made from the highest quality durable materials, the Cobb has no moving parts allowing a safe and easy cooking experience, allowing you to cook on boats and in other such places without concern due to the secure and sturdy design. Added to this the Cobb can be easily dismantled and placed into a dishwasher for cleaning convenience. This highly portable grill weighs only 4kg (8.8 lbs) and has a height of 30cm (12 Inches) and diameter of 30cm (12 inches). While searing hot on the inside, the base remains cool to touch on the outside and can be picked up and moved around while cooking. The Cobb is very fuel efficient and an environmentally greener option as it uses only 8-10 briquettes/1 Cobble Stone or 300 grams charcoal for up to two hours of cooking.
