Nexiot AG opens new office in Germany as part of ongoing expansion plans
Digital Logistics Management Platform provider Nexiot AG is recruiting staff for its new branch in the Port of Hamburg, Germany
Zurich, Switzerland, Thursday, 12th April 2018 – Nexiot AG, an enabler of supply chain digitisation which has developed an end-to-end logistics platform, has opened a new office at the Port of Hamburg, Germany, as part of ongoing growth plans.
Staff are being recruited to boost Nexiot’s sales, marketing, and tech teams at the new branch, located on the banks of the River Elbe.
“Hamburg’s excellent intermodal infrastructure and well-developed logistics community makes it the ideal location for our first office in the European Community, serving our growing customer base,” said Marcel Scheurer, Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Nexiot.
“More than 2,000 block trains go from the Port throughout Europe every week, and it boasts an excellent road infrastructure, river vessel transport, as well as being home to over 150 air cargo companies.”
Zurich-headquartered Nexiot’s team has quadrupled in size since the company’s launch in 2016 and will be hiring more staff to grow its sales, marketing, and service divisions over the coming months.
“We believe better knowledge creates better supply chains and we provide our customers with an end-to-end logistics platform that gives them full access to the knowledge hidden in their supply chains, in detail and in real-time,” said Rainer F. Schroeder, Chief Sales Officer (CSO), Nexiot.
“We enable them to use this knowledge to manage and improve their processes and to develop a new level of services with which they can permanently wow even their most demanding clients.”
Nexiot sprang from ETH Zurich, one of the world’s top technical universities, and last year closed a CHF15million (USD15.5million) investment round to scale its end-to-end enterprise Digital Logistics Management Platform.
Next month will see Nexiot’s Director Marketing and Sales Daniel MacGregor take part in the Rise of IoT and Big Data in Rail event in Munich on May 29th, and join a panel discussion on Digital Disruption at Multimodal in Birmingham on Tuesday 1st of May.
